Much hated pharma douche Martin Shkreli is making no apologies for buying Wu Tang's private album Once Upon a Time in Shaolin for $2 million. He's also not afraid of anyone swiping it back from him.
In an interview with the Daily News, Shkreli wouldn't confirm or deny if there was language in the contract that allowed Wu Tang and/or Bill Murray one shot at stealing back the album. (It's been reported to be a hoax, but there really isn't any evidence either way.)
He told the newspaper there's some "pretty crazy stuff" in the contract, but that he's sworn to secrecy. He also added "It is me who they would not want to be fucking with."
As for what he is going to do with the album ...
"Plans for the album," Shkreli says. "I don't even know if I'll ever hear it. I just thought it would be funny to keep it from people."And what about all the Wu Tang fans who are being deprived the music?
"If fans really cared about the Wu Tang Clan, they would’ve bought their [last] album," he said, referring to collective's notorious 2014 flop A Better Tomorrow. This video of Shrkeli being interviewed claims it contains snippets of music from Once Upon a Time in Shaolin. But we certainly can't confirm it.
