Back in the day, there were plenty of rap groups but not so much anymore.

Bone Thugs-N-Harmony's Krayzie Bone spoke about that on Power 106 and he gave a theory as to why that is.

As many probably know, Bone Thugs had a lot of trouble with their bandmate, Bizzy Bone in the past, so he knows how hard it can be to remain in a group. [Jump to the 15:25-mark]

"I’m gonna keep it 100. To me it's selfishness because you can’t have a group like you had back in the day because nobody wants to be that dude in the group. Everybody want to be that front dude," he said. "And if you do get a group, they’re only gonna last for the first project and don’t let it be successful. Because the ego is going to kick in and they’re gon' split. It always happens.”

Is Krayzie right?
