Last year, Kevin Gates chided his fellow men for selfishly ejaculating during sex.

Another thing I was telling you that’s really healing to your body and it’s going to sound crazy, it’s semen retention, not releasing no semen,” Gates said on Million Dollarz Worth of Game. “You need to have sex.  You can have sex. Your intention should be to please your partner. And don’t release no semen. If you feel like your going to release  stop.  It's going to heal your central nervous system and everything."

Joey Badass is following Gates's lead.

“I'd rather not bust a nut, period,” he said on Angela Yee's Lip Service podcast. “Because I would rather preserve my lifeforce.”

“When a man ejaculates, there’s a lot of things that leave your body, there's blood cells, there’s testosterone, energy, you get depleted,” he  continued. “They say it's like an equivalent to running 20 miles when you bust a nut.”

Not long after Gates declared he was no longer nutting in women, he reported he started feeling suicidal.

While Gates didn't tie his suicidal thoughts to semen retention, it's something Joey might want to think about.
