When we last heard about ILoveMakonnen's career status, he was confirming that he's no longer on OVO.
Now he's telling us he's retired at the ripe old age of 26.
If I could release music how I wanted I wouldn't retire, but then if did that, so many would have to to just retire, so ill accept retire

Ima let them have it, cus I have more to get, and I'm not greedy so that's why I'll leave and let y'all have it. — Berlin Red Makonnen (@iLoveMakonnen5D) May 7, 2016
Makonnen isn't the first young artist to announces he's retiring this year. Chief Keef did the same in March, although it was unclear how serious Sosa was being.
As for Makonnen ... we're thinking he's not really going to retire either.
But we guess if he does it's bad news for any Makonnen fans there might be. And on a Tuesday.
