"J. Cole went platinum with no features."

You've seen that statement online for years now. It has to do with Cole's reputation for not recruiting other rappers to be on his projects but still selling a lot of units.

EarthGang, the Atlanta rap duo who's signed to Cole's Dreamville Records, spoke about his penchant for not having features and said they understand his reasoning. [Jump to 20:36 mark]

"I think he's so locked into the story that he wants to paint and the things that he wants to tell and the stuff that he wants to do on his music that I think he just allows himself to be in that space," said Olu on Power 106.

"I respect that," added WowGr8 a.k.a. Doctur Dot. "We don't have many features on our own work. We kind of be locked in. Each feature is very strategically placed."

Would you like to see Cole have features on his projects or no?
