With his brand new deal with Republic Records, Charles Hamilton celebrated with a show in L.A. last night at Sayer's Club. During the performance, he debuted his Rita Ora-assisted single, 'New York Raining,' that'll be appearing on the Empire soundtrack and season finale episode. We'll hear the CDQ of the song on March 18.
Most concert footage has terrible audio, but this clip sounds good. It sounds like Charles has matured a lot and is looking to adapt a more mainstream appeal. At least with this single. Hopefully he still finds a balance between this and the lyricism that we've witnessed in the past.
What are your thoughts on the single?
