Busta Rhymes jumped up on the stage of Webster Hall in New York to support of his protege O.T. Genasis, who was performing his breakout hit 'CoCo.'

This proved to be a bad idea. The 42-year old comically fell off of the stage, appearing to be in some sort of chemical-induced stupor both before and after the tumble. Check it out.

Busta bloodied his head in the fall and didn't return to the stage. But he was on Twitter yesterday, making sure everybody knew he was OK. He also defended the fall it a tweet:

WE ALWAYS WILL BE ON 10!! WE JUST TOOK 1 STEP 2 FAR OFF THE STAGE AND THAT WAS IT!! SHIT HAPPENS BUT I LOVE IT CAUSE WE LIVE IT!!

We don't want to speculate too much on exactly what was wrong with Busta, but the next time he is in that state he should probably step away from the stage.
