Empire's Bryshere Gray, who played Hakeem Lyon, will have to serve jail time after pleading guilty to a domestic violence charge.
In July of last year, police showed up to Gray's house in Goodyear, Arizona in response to his wife saying that he assaulted her for several hours. It's said that Gray strangled her, and she temporarily lost consciousness. The actor then had a nine-hour standoff with police.
He'll now have to do 10 days in county jail and will be on probation for three years, according to TMZ. He'll also have to pay restitution and enroll in a domestic violence treatment program.
Do you see Gray bouncing back from this and landing another major gig like Empire?
