Did Billboard Suggest The Weeknd Was Faking Sales?

Gunna's DS4Ever scored an upset win over The Weeknd's Dawn FM on the Billboard album chart last week.

It was an upset for two reasons:

First, The Weeknd's last album After Hours had a 444K opening week and is headed toward triple platinum status.

So it was surprising to see the follow-up do just 148K.

Secondly, After Hours was leading in the projections all week.

Last night, Billboard issued a statement saying their final tabulations had been delayed because they had to disqualify some questionable sales numbers.

Speculation is that was aimed at The Weeknd, and is the reason Dawn FM fall short of its projections.

Between this and the Grammy snub, it seems like the industry has issues with Abel.
