A$AP Rocky and A$AP Ferg stopped by Rap Radar recently, where Rocky told an interesting story of being sent to Rikers Island for fighting when he was 16 years old.

According to the Harlem native, there were two things that helped him survive his two week prison stint: Being able to rap well and the Brooklyn rapper Casanova looking out for him.

"My first night there, I see the Casanova n---- laying on the floor with his Air Max bubble," explained Pretty Flaco. "So I'm like 'Yo, why'd they let you keep your sneakers, b?' He's like 'Yo, it's my third time in here' ... For some reason, the n---- wanted to be my friend, 'cause I wasn't posing a threat. Every time they moved me [to another part of Rikers] it was with him, coincidentally."
Rocky also said that he often had to battle other rappers in the prison, and that he defeated so many of the inmates they started giving him their food, drinks and other items.

You can listen to the full story below.
