A$AP Rocky has promised that his third album and first since 2015 At. Long. Last. ASAP will come out before the end of the year.
That's coming up, and Rocky just spoke on the project with English newspaper The Evening Standard.
According to A$AP, he'll be recording at least part of the album in London and working with British grime star Skepta.
“It’s just special to me for some reason," Rocky said of London. "I’m just… I express myself way better when I’m in an environment that allows me to be. When I’m here, for the most part, I’m in a peaceful, creative environment and I’m testing the waters and making new music, messing around with new sounds and anything that’s innovative.”He also told the Standard that the sound of the album will be "futuristic."
“This new album is just basically like all my albums: evolved,” he adds. “They’ve been missing me, they’ve been waiting for me, they need some new music, they need some new sounds, new waves, new swag, new everything. And who’s the man you go to for that? Yours truly. So I’m back, like I never left.”At. Long. Last. ASAP was Rocky's second straight number album, moving 146,000 album-equivalent units, 116,000 coming from pure sales.
Do you think he can make it three in a row with what he has on deck?
And do you think he's going to pull a Madonna and start speaking with a British accent?
