At this point of his early career, Lil Yachty probably knows something about money, groupies and success. But he doesn't know the difference between a cello and a flute.
In fact, he recently caught flak for spitting this lyric on his song 'Peek A Boo,' off his Teenage Emotions album:
"My new bitch yellow / She blow that dick like a cello," rapped Yachty.This is what a cello looks like.
After being corrected and teased by the Internet, Boat sat down with Genius admitted that he thought a cello was something that you blew into, like a flute.
"I'm gonna blame my A&R," he said. "He listened to that song many times, and he allowed me to say that ... I guess for a second, I thought a cello was a wood instrument and its not. Nobody ever said shit. Nobody ever pulled up a picture and said, 'Hey man, I don't know if you know what this is, but it ain't that.' I fucked up. I thought Squidward [from SpongeBob Squarepants] played the cello. He don't, that's a flute."It makes you wonder what else Yachty has wrong, not only with his lyrics but in life.
