Do people think Wale is corny? According to DJ Akademiks they do and it's hurt his career.
"A lot of people in general ... in the social media era ... they see Wale as corny," he told Joe Budden.But Akademiks also said the DMV native had talent, and he pointed to other celebs who get the same kind of treatment.
"They call Ray J corny," he stated. "Look at the people who get that bad wrap, most of them are talented or have talents that even exceed beyond music. Nick Cannon gets that wrap. We have Bow Wow who gets that wrap, but Wale also gets it too."At the same time, Akademiks blamed Wale for much of the backlash and accused him of being too sensitive.
